Oxford Biomedica Solutions

Oxford Biomedica Solutions operates in a sector where credibility is earned through clarity, technological superiority and precision. For scientific audiences, trust is built when what you do and how you do it are dependable and validated with evidence.

When KAL partnered with OXB Solutions, the goal was not to simplify the science, but to translate complex AAV development and manufacturing capability into a clear, decision-ready experience that could live consistently across digital, presentations, tradeshow environments, and marketing collateral.

We approached the work as a design system rather than a set of individual deliverables. Our process began with discovery and alignment, treating the website and core materials as an extension of one another. Through stakeholder working sessions, we mapped the primary audiences, including gene therapy sponsors, technical operations, process development, analytical, regulatory, and business development teams. This work established a shared understanding of how different stakeholders assess readiness, risk, and differentiation. From that foundation, we built a message hierarchy and content model that clarified the complexity of their manufacturing and end-to-end services.

That hierarchy became the backbone of the digital strategy, keyword research, and SEO plan. This drove page structure that mapped content to search behavior and customer intent. This enabled the content architecture to support faster and scannable blocks of content, while allowing technical audiences to explore detail when needed.

With the content strategy in place, we designed the information architecture and UX as a guided, modular journey. The experience uses progressive disclosure, with a clean top layer that communicates value quickly and expandable pathways for deeper technical credibility. Page patterns were standardized for consistency, while still allowing each service area to carry its own nuance. Navigation and internal linking were structured to support shifting intent, connecting service pages to delivery methodology, keeping users within the digital experience as their evaluation moves from exploration to qualification.

Once the architecture was stable, we developed a modern UI and visual language that communicates advanced science with calm authority. The design approach creates depth and segmentation across sections and formats, while typography, grids, and spacing are optimized for dense technical content. The visual approach reinforces credibility through clarity

To support a framework of modularity, we built a library of reusable UI components, including proof point callouts, capability cards, process modules, team and facility sections, and anchored content structures. A bespoke iconography system acts as cognitive shortcuts for complex service stacks, designed for use across web, presentations, and print.

Data visualization was treated as a core storytelling element. Key metrics were elevated into clear visual moments that allow performance, scale, and readiness to be understood quickly. We established rules for quantitative storytelling so that data reinforces trust and remains consistent across touchpoints. Content development was approached through an editorial lens, with page narratives drafted directly into wireframes and refined with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and regulatory appropriateness.

The digital experience was then extended into presentation design and marketing collateral using the same component logic. The slide framework mirrors the website experience, with clear hierarchy and a narrative arc.

One pagers were designed as practical tools for real conversations, structured for fast scanning and effective use in both informal interactions and formal customer engagements. The tradeshow exhibit design translated the same system into physical space, using deep color hues, visual hierarchy and concise messaging to support comprehension at a distance and meaningful conversations up close.

The result is a unified ecosystem that makes OXB feel sophisticated, and their capabilities clear, measurable, and accessible.
